Retired Navy SEAL's energy drink hitting all local 7-Elevens
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- In just the last year, Sean Matson and his team have been able to complete a mission, getting "Strike Force Energy" launched and going.
"We were the number one newly released energy drink last year," said Matson. "The biggest thing is just doing it. You have to put one foot in front of the other, start growing and putting a marketing plan around it."
The energy drink brand is making its rounds at stores locally.
Matson is a former Navy SEAL of 10 years and the co-founder and president. He founded the company with a few business partners.
"Strike Force" is set to pop up in 7-Eleven stores all over Hampton Roads all the way down to the Outer Banks. Right now, it's at select stores locally and some in Florida.
Matson says they do manufacturing in Florida.
"We're probably in about 200-ish stores already," he said.
In a store next to dozens of other energy drinks, Matson said "Strike Force" is different. He believes their product is healthier because it has less than half the ingredients most energy drinks have and their products have the proper dose of all ingredients.
The product, while giving an energy boost to customers, also donates to law enforcement and veteran communities.
"We're veteran owned. We're American made and we try to give back to the community as much as possible," said Matson.
This Veteran's Day, the company is parterning with "Troops Direct", matching all orders place.
