NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- The public is invited to a free air show at Naval Station Norfolk.

The 'Chambers Field Centennial Air Show' is happening on Saturday, July 15 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The theme of the air show is "100 Years of Chambers Field" and will showcase the pride and heritage of naval aviation at the air field.

The show will feature live performances by Lima Lima Flight Team, Prowlers of the Pacific and the Black Daggers parachute team. Visitors will also be able to see multiple vintage aircrafts from the Military Aviation Museum.

The event will feature demonstrations by aircrafts currently stationed at Naval Station Norfolk, which include the MV-22 Osprey, E-2C Hawkeye and SH-60 helicopters.

The last time Naval Station Norfolk held an air show at Chambers Field was in April of 2002.

Gates 3 and 4 open at 10 a.m. Admission is free and open to the general public.
