Hold onto your lunches! In a new study 44% of people surveyed by Insurance Quotes say that they have sought revenge on a co-worker. More startling? The ways in which people say they've attempted to seek revenge.
Of the 1,000 people surveyed, these are some of the most shocking statistics:
- People who made above $75,000 were the mostly likely to seek revenge
- Those at a Senior Management position were most likely to attempt sabotage
- 83% of people say they got away with their revenge attempts
- Over 55% of people say their were no negative repercussion on them afterwards
Now, it is easy to look at this and think, "wow, this is troubling" - but the fact is, this happens in a very small percentage of major fields. The top fields that say they were seeking revenge are: technology industries and data/information services. Apparently, getting revenge may be so popular in these industries that a Reddit page was created for employees to share their stories. In terms of revenge tactics, the most popular was causing a purposeful decline in the quality of that person's work. Stealing lunches, spreading rumors & hiding stuff also topped the list.
