13News Now's "Holiday Salute" program showcases the hard work, dedication and sacrifice of military families every year during the holiday season.
In the 2018 edition of Holiday Salute:
Military reporter Mike Gooding focuses on the Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group.
Anchor Philip Townsend spotlights the aviators and air crew members of Helicopter Mine Countermeasures squadrons HM-14 and HM-15.
Additionally, the show introduces viewers to a military family back on the home front during the Christmas season, plus the good work of stalwart community organizations such as the USO of Hampton Roads, Trees for Troops and the Horton Wreath Society.
"Holiday Salute" airs on Monday, December 24 at 6 p.m., and on Tuesday, December 25 at 6 a.m.
