VIRGINIA BEACH, VA (WVEC-TV) -- This time of year, it isn't uncommon to hear a lot of screams in Virginia Beach. Hunt Club Farm is a Hampton Roads Halloween hotspot, complete with haunted hay rides, a Field of Screams, ghosts, ghouls and goblins, and long lines of thrill-seeking families.

The loudness on London Bridge Road has become expected this time of year, as generations of families keep a strong Halloween tradition alive and strong.

The Elsenpeter family is a perfect example.

"I've been coming here probably for 16 years off and on through high school and now with my kids," said Briana Elsenpeter. "Everyone gets to do it together and that's our biggest thing is doing something safe and them having fun."

"I think it's an amazing place where people get to celebrate and have fun," said Brianna's 8 year-old daughter, Kaitlyn. "It means the universe to me to spend time with my little sister, my little brother, and my stepmother and my dad."

Robert is her father -- a veteran of the U.S. Marines who's glad to be on daddy duty now, instilling the Hunt Club Halloween tradition in his kids.

"I definitely remember my memories growing up and I want her to have memories of families and events," he said. " Annual things that you spend all year looking forward to."

Hunt Club Farm is a family-owned business. Co-owner Randi Vogel says this is a special time of year and her family loves scaring up family-friendly haunts.

"We live for October and the tradition of hay rides and pumpkins and seeing all of the people come out," Randi said.

It's a tradition that's lasted more than 20 years with no end in sight.

Hunt Club Farm is located at 2388 London Bridge Road in Virginia Beach. The phone number there is (757) 427-9520.
