US Naval Academy offers summer program, seminar for high school students

The United States Naval Academy offers learning opportunities through its summer STEM program and summer seminar.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (WVEC) -- High school students have opportunities to broaden their knowledge and add to their skills at the United States Naval Academy.

The summer STEM program at the academy allows rising 9th through 11th grade students to participate in hands-on activities as they learn about technological advances and topics that include:

  • Energy and Light
  • Infrastructure
  • Transportation and Cybersecurity
  • Simulation and Modeling
  • Flight an Fluids
  • Biometrics and Robotics
  • Automation

The Naval Academy Summer Seminar offers rising high school seniors who are considering the academy an opportunity to learn about life there including the academic, athletic, and professional training it offers. Students in the seminar live in Bancroft Hall, experience life on the Yard, and meet some of the Naval Academy's best midshipman and most esteemed faculty.
