NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- On Thursday afternoon, PETA's charter plane will land at Norfolk International Airport from Puerto Rico.

They're bringing 10 dogs identified by PETA's team as being among the most in need. They will later be available for adoption at PETA, the Norfolk SPCA, or the Virginia Beach SPCA.

Among the animals being brought to Hampton Roads is Coconut, a blind dog.

The Norfolk-based organization has been on the ground in Puerto Rico since the storm hit -- housing up to 650 dogs.
