Movement Mortgage is set to cut the ribbon on its new Norfolk offices on Thursday. It adds 750 jobs to the area, including 200 new positions.
The big move also helps bring new life to a struggling part of the city. Movement Mortgage takes the place of the old JC Penney at Military Circle Mall.
Crews worked for months, turning 45,000 square-feet of space into offices.
We caught up with Movement' Mortgage execs when the big announcement was made.
"I really think that us moving there will bring a lot back to that area, to the neighborhoods, the jobs, the income for the region," said vice president Toby Harris. "So we're really looking forward to bringing a lot to the neighborhoods."
Next month, Movement Mortgage will be getting neighbors. Optima Health will also move in to offices on the second floor.
