CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Chesapeake Animal Services posted on their Facebook page about rescuing a 300-pound pig on Thursday.

The pig is waiting to be reunited with her family, but if no one steps up, the pig will be available for adoption on July 26.

The Facebook post said, "Anyone lose a 300 pound pig? We know they're sneaky little buggers, but check your barn to see if your sweet little butter ball has gone missing! This sweet little lady was brought in as a stray, so she's not available yet, but we're hoping social media will help her find her way back home!"

If anyone has information about where this 'butter ball' came from, they can call the Chesapeake Animal Services at (757)382-8081.
