NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Dyslexia is a learning difference that affects as many as 20 percent of people, making reading and writing very hard for children and adults alike.
Here in Hampton Roads, there's a group aimed at helping people with dyslexia learn to read, and they're having a concert to raise funds this week.
The Sinkinson Dyslexia Foundation is hosting a concert in Norfolk on July 6, at 7 p.m. Founding board member Jake Clemons, who is also a songwriter and musician who plays with Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band, will perform. Tickets are $75 per person and include hors d'ouvre from local restaurants as well as wine from a local winery and beer from Wasserhund Brewing Co.
