SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Emergency crews battled a shed fire Thursday evening.

The fire happened in the 4600 block of Godwin Blvd. just before 5 p.m. Minutes later fire units arrived.

Upon arrival, crews found a 16x16 detached shed engulfed in flames.

The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes. The shed was a total loss, but thankfully the fire did not extend to the home.

No one was injured.

Traffic was closed in both directions while crews were on scene, it has since reopened.
