CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Newport News police are asking for the public's help in identifying two suspects who robbed a man at gunpoint earlier this week.

Police say the incident happened Nov. 14, in the 500 block of Bailey Court. Officers were dispatched to the area at 8:20 a.m.

The 60-year-old victim, a Newport News man, told police he was leaving the Dollar Tree located at 455 Oriana Road on foot when he noticed three men following him. At the intersection of Armistead Loop and Bailey Court two of the men confronted him, with the third walking away.

The two men told the victim to give up his wallet. When the victim began to resist, he noticed one of the suspects had a silver-colored firearm. The victim then gave up his wallet, containing cash, credit cards and IDs.

The suspects are described as black males between the ages of 18 and 20. One is said to have a medium complexion, stand 5'0"-5'2" tall and was last seen wearing dark clothing. According to police, the other suspect appeared to be in his early 20s, stand 5'7"-5'10" tall, have a medium complexion, and a silver gun. He was also last seen wearing dark clothing.
