JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WVEC) -- Authorities have arrested a man on numerous charges after he allegedly tampered with and stole items from multiple cars in a number of James City County neighborhoods.
Jose Alexander Paredes-Rodriguez, 32, was charged with six counts of petit larceny, three counts of grand larceny, two counts of credit card theft and driving without an operator's license.
He was arrested on March 9, just a little more than a month after the break-ins took place.
Police released surveillance footage from Feb. 4 and Feb. 5 of a suspect tampering with several vehicles and stealing items from unlocked cars in Michelle's Point, Rolling Woods and White Hall.
Authorities would like to remind residents to lock their car doors and remove any valuables from their vehicles.
