CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Dominique Jarrett, 29, is facing charges after he allegedly led police on a multi-city chase in a stolen car.

Chesapeake Police say officers initiated a traffic stop for defective equipment on a car at Indian River Road and Hazel Avenue.

Jarrett allegedly refused to stop, and officers pursued him onto I-64, where the car became disabled and stopped near the Little Creek exit.

Police say Jarrett was arrested and charged with driving on a suspended license, possession of stolen property, defective equipment, felony eluding and possession of marijuana. He also allegedly had three outstanding warrants on file.
