NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Police released surveillance footage of one of the people accused of robbing a man inside his home on April 18.

Officers said the incident happened shortly before 11:35 a.m. on Henry Clay Drive.

A 53-year-old man who lives in the home said he was getting ready to leave it when someone he didn't know opened the door, pointed a gun at him, and forced him into a room.

The man said the person with the gun kept demanding money, then went to the front door, motioning for a second person to come into the home. That person entered the home and held the 53-year-old at gunpoint while the first person searched the home.

The 53-year-old gave the first person money. That person also took the man's wallet. At some point, the 53-year-old was hit with a gun before he was able to run out of the back door of the home.
