ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. (WVEC) -- Two people were injured by gunfire on Tuesday.

According to the Elizabeth City Police Department around 4:20 p.m., there were shots fired on the 700 block of Herrington Road.

Once on the scene police located Deshawn Outlaw and an unnamed juvenile with gunshot wounds. They were transported to Sentara Albemarle Hospital, where they are in stable condition.

On Wednesday, police said they had arrested 32-year-old Dominique Ferebee on two counts of attempted first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a felon. Police said more arrests are anticipated.
