North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper has declared this week as Financial Awareness Week for college campuses across the state.

During this week, the governor is encouraging students and their families to learn more about applying for financial aid.

The week comes ahead of FAFSA Day which is Saturday, Oct. 28.

On FAFSA Day, students can get free, in-person help submitting their Free Application for Federal Student Aid.

The event will take place on all college and university campuses across North Carolina and is put on in part by the College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC).
