SUFFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Teachers and bus drivers in Suffolk will get a pay raise next year, but many say it's still not enough.
The school board approved its next budget on Thursday, giving most teachers and bus drivers a 2.5 percent raise. School board members say they did what they could with the money they had, but some just aren't buying that.
"It's still frustrating, because we're still treated like we're at the bottom. We should be treated fairly across the board," said Angelo Stone with the Suffolk Bus Drivers Association.
A lot of this anger was fueled by the big pay bump the superintendent received.
The budget passed in a 7-to-0 vote.
