ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. -- The live-in boyfriend of a missing Jacksonville girl’s mother has been arrested and charged in connection with the disappearance of the child, the FBI announced early Saturday.

32-year-old Earl Kimrey was taken into custody by investigators Friday. Police say due to evidence gathered during the course of the investigation, they believed that Mariah is dead, but they have not found her body. The searches will now shift to a recovery process.

Kimrey is being charged with:

  • Concealing of Death
  • Obstruction of Justice,
  • 2nd Degree Burglary
  • Felony Larceny
  • And Possession of Stolen Property

He is being held at the Onslow County Detention Center under a $1,010,000 bond.
