NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Mark Herring is keeping his focus on Virginia's heroin crisis.

On Friday, the attorney general travels to Norfolk. He'll be meeting with sheriffs from across the Commonwealth who are in town for a convention.

Herring is expected to talk about new re-entry programs at jails. We're also expecting an update on the work done by the state's "re-entry coordinator." That new position helps those fighting addiction.

The conference is this morning at the Waterside Marriott.
