POQUOSON, Va. (WVEC) -- The Poquoson Police Department is asking for help locating a woman they said was last seen around 10 p.m. on January 25.

Kathleen Diggs, 65, is described as a white 5'2" female with brown hair and brown eyes. She weighs about 160 pounds.

Police said Diggs has been diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder and has not taken her medications.

Steven Fratzke is Diggs’ fiancé. He says it been an emotional few days.

“I love Kathleen and I hope she's doing good,” Fratzke said. “I can't sleep, I just worry.”

Fratzke and Diggs have been together 15 years. They moved from the Outer Banks to Poquoson last summer. Fratzke says they went to sleep Thursday night. Hours later, she was gone.

“I just hope the best I don't know what to say,” Fratzke said.

Police issued a “Code Red”, asking people in Poquoson to search their properties, paying special attention to places like sheds, detached garages and boats. The search intensified Monday afternoon.

Fratzke is preparing for just about anything, but hoping for the best.

“If you see her photo or see her anywhere please call the police, or stop and grab her hand and say Kathy come home,” Fratzke said.

Police said they partnered with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management to activate search and rescue resources on Sunday. They are asking anyone that sees the teams to stay clear of the search efforts unless asked otherwise.
