CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Members of the Chesapeake Police Department, including its SWAT team, along with Virginia State Police troopers filled the 1400 block of Martin Ave. in South Norfolk Tuesday.
Investigators were on the street, just off Atlantic Avenue, to search three homes in relation to an ongoing drug investigation.
Master Police Officer Kelly Elliott with Chesapeake Police Department said as a result of the search warrants, marijuana and three firearms were recovered.
23-year-old Dquan Griffin was arrested and charged with possession of ammunition by a convicted felon. Additionally, a woman at the residence was issued three summonses by Animal Services for not being able to provide proof of rabies vaccination, no city license, and no providing adequate shelter for her dog.
Elliott said the investigation is ongoing, and further charges are expected.
