CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- A family has been displaced from their home following a house fire Wednesday morning in Chesapeake.

Firefighters were dispatched to a home located in the 2900 block of King Arthur Circle at 7:50 a.m. Arriving five minutes later, they found smoke showing from a one-story, single-family home, according to Chesapeake Fire Captain Scott Saunders.

The fire was contained to one bedroom, however, there was smoke damage throughout the rest of the home.

Crews brought the fire under control at 8:12 a.m. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
