CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Police said they responded to calls last night around 9 p.m. in reference to people in two cars shooting at one another.
Kelly Elliot with the Chesapeake Police Department was able to confirm the calls came from the 1400 block of Greenbrier Pkwy.
Elliot said when officers arrived, the cars were gone and they were unable to find evidence of the shooting.
Some time last night after the alleged incident, two people walked into a local hospital with gunshot wounds. They were uncooperative with police, but Elliot was unable to confirm if the victims were involved in the shooting.
A 13News Now viewer told us her daughter was shopping in the area when she heard shots. An employee locked the doors and people inside the store hid in a back storage room. They were eventually allowed to leave, she said.
Elliot was also unable to confirm if any businesses in the surrounding area were put on lockdown during the shooting.
