HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Police have arrested and charged a man accused of robbing a bank earlier this week.

Bobby Freeman Jr., 34, was arrested Wednesday and charged with one count of robbery.

The robbery happened just before 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Wells Fargo on Kecoughtan Road.

According to police, the suspect walked into the bank, implied that he was armed and demanded money.

After employees handed over and undisclosed amount of cash, the man ran away.

Freeman is in custody at the Hampton City Jail.
