HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Police have identified the victim in a deadly shooting that took place Thursday night in Hampton.

Multiple calls came in to emergency communications around 7:16 p.m. reporting a shooting that had just happened in the 100 block of Ethel Drive. Officers arrived to the scene to find 19-year-old Travuan Rouser with a single gunshot wound.

Fire and rescue crews took Rouser to the hospital where he later died.

After investigating, police say Rouser was standing outside a home when a newer-model white vehicle approached and unknown suspects began firing. Rouser was hit one time.

The vehicle was last seen heading towards Briarfield Road.

At this time, there are no suspect descriptions, according to Hampton Police.
