Hampton police looking for two men wanted in connection with fatal shooting

The victim is identified as Iquan Malik McClain, 23, of Newport News.

HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) — Hampton Police Division has identified two men in connection with a shooting that left one man dead Saturday, Hampton Police Division said.

Breshard Renard Turner, 21, of Newport News, has active warrants on file for one count of second-degree murder, one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony, and one count of concealed weapon.

Police said a second man present during the incident has been identified as 23-year-old Rashad Lamont Langley. Langley currently has an active warrant on file from this incident for one count of shoplifting. Police said Langley needs to be interviewed regarding his involvement.

Around 3:02 p.m., police received a call of a shooting at the Family Dollar parking lot in the 900 block of Aberdeen Road.

According to a police spokesperson, Iquan Malik McClain, 23, of Newport News, was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a parking lot and taken to a hospital where he later died.

Police said this was not random act of violence, and that McClain and the suspects knew each other. Multiple suspects fled on foot headed towards Mercury Boulevard, police said.

A spokesperson said there are no suspect descriptions at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
