Police identify driver killed in single-vehicle crash near W. Queen Street in Hampton

Police identified the driver killed in the wreck as Antonio Raspberry, 29, of Hampton.

HAMPTON, Va. — Hampton Police Division is investigating a deadly crash that occurred early morning Sunday.

The wreck happened sometime after 1 a.m. in the 1400 block of West Queen Street.

Police received the call of a crash near the intersection of West Queen Street and the Interstate 664 overpass.

Officers found a vehicle that had exited the road and crashed into a concrete pillar.

The driver, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another adult male passenger was taken to the hospital with injuries considered life-threatening.

Police identified the driver killed in the wreck as Antonio Raspberry, 29, of Hampton.

The crash remains under investigation by the members of the Hampton Police Division’s Reconstruction Team.
