NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Police in Newport News are looking for a suspect who robbed a 7-Eleven Saturday night.

Officers were called to the store located in the 400 block of Oyster Point Road at 9:48 p.m.

Upon arrival, it was reported that an unknown black man entered the store and walked behind the counter. The suspect implied he had a weapon, but one was never shown.

Police say the suspect then took an undisclosed amount of cash and some cigarettes, before fleeing the business.

No injuries were reported.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident.
