NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) — A man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was hit by a car while riding his bike.
Newport News police received a call at 8:45 p.m. for an auto-pedestrian accident.
When police arrived at the intersection of 39th Street and Marshall Avenue they found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.
An investigation revealed the man was riding his bike when he was hit by an SUV.
The victim was taken to a local hospital. Police have closed the intersection while the Newport News Crash Team investigates.
