NEWPORT NEWS, Va., (WVEC) -- Police said Monday Juvaunne Gordon, 26, of the 500 block of Thorncliff Dr. died after his car hit a power box on April 20, throwing him from the car.
The crash happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 12600 block of Jefferson Avenue. The damage to the power box knocked out electricity to dozens of customers.
Master Police Officer Brandon Maynard said speed was a factor in the wreck.
