NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Police are looking for the man who robbed a Quality Inn early Monday morning in Newport News.

Investigators say the suspect entered the hotel, located at 945 J. Clyde Morris Boulevard, shortly before 3 a.m. The man jumped the front counter, implied he had a weapon, and demanded money.

After taking cash, he jumped back over the counter and fled through a side door.

Surveillance video shows the suspect is a black male approximately 5'10" and 5'11" with a medium build and long dreadlocks. He was seen wearing a blue knit cap, Navy blue jacket, and dark blue jeans. His face was covered by a blue bandana and he was wearing gloves.
