Newport News police investigating double shooting on Aqueduct Drive

A 38-year-old man and a 44-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds in the incident.

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — A shooting in Newport News injured two people Saturday night, a police official said.

A 38-year-old man and a 44-year-old man suffered gunshot wounds in the incident.

Officers were called around 11:59 p.m. to a shooting in the 13200 block of Aqueduct Drive.

Officers found the 38-year-old man with a gunshot wound not considered life-threatening.

The second victim, the 44-year-old man, walked into a hospital with a gunshot wound not considered life-threatening.

During the investigation, police said two apartments and three vehicles were hit by bullets.

There were no other injuries besides the two men.

Police said they are still investigating and there is no suspect information.
