NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Some Norfolk schools are getting cleaned up, just in time for the new school year.

Workers have spent all week sprucing up Booker T. Washington High School.

In the past, there have been community complaints about how the school is maintained. Some people think the city isn't doing enough to improve the aging building.

This week, crews from the department of Parks and Urban Forestry worked at the school. They re-sodded the turf in the stadium, repaired the stadium sprinkler system, and did some landscaping work.
