NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- No one was injured Wednesday morning after a house fire in Norfolk, fire officials say.

Firefighters were dispatched to a fire at a home located in the 1700 block of Claremont Avenue at 11:43 a.m. Upon arrival, they found smoke coming from the attic window of a two-story home.

Julian Williamson with Norfolk Fire said crews brought a fire hose inside the home to put out the flames. Additional crews searched the home and found several pets. A dog found at the scene was returned to its owner.

The fire was extinguished at 12:05 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
