NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- A school bus was sideswiped in Norfolk on Wednesday and four kids were taken to the hospital.

According to police, around 1:30 p.m. a tractor trailer was attempting to make a turn onto Killam Avenue from 38th Street.

The school bus was stopped on Killam waiting for the truck to make its turn. During the turn the truck sideswiped the bus.

Authorities say 47 children and 4 adults were on the bus at the time of the accident. Several 9-year-olds complained of injuries and were taken to CHKD.

No charges have been filed, and no other injuries were reported.
