NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Neighbors in Lambert's Point are fed up with all of that coal dust blowing off of Norfolk Southern's terminal.

Residents are worried about the health effects of the fine black dust that falls on their neighborhood. Now a group of residents are demanding answers from the railroad.

They are gathering Thursday to draft a letter to CEO James Squires, requesting a meeting. It will be at 6 p.m. at the First Baptist Church on 38th Street.

In the past, Norfolk Southern has said the coal dust is not a problem. The company has two air monitoring sites at the terminal.
