NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- Prosecutors have dropped charges against a man allegedly connected to a shooting that injured three people and was captured on Facebook Live last year.
Tony Roundtree, 25, was arrested on seven felony warrants in relation to the triple shooting that took place on July 12, 2016.
Roundtree was arrested the next month and was taken into custody.
He was charged with three counts of Malicious wounding, three counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and one count of malicious wounding.
According to the Norfolk Commonwealth Attorney's Office, there was insufficient evidence to move forward with the case.
The Norfolk Circuit Court approved the prosecutors' motion to nolle prosse the charges against Roundtree on Wednesday.
However, if any other evidence arises against him, he can be charged again.
Roundtree was slated to go on trial on January 11, 2018.
