VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- With temperatures in the upper 70’s Friday, it was the perfect opportunity for a November beach day at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

Hundreds of people were spotted biking, rollerblading, even swimming at 30th Street.

While locals know we are experiencing unseasonably warm weather, Hampton Roads had visitors fooled today.

“We are from Minneapolis,” said Vorwerk. “There is four inches of snow and it’s in the 30’s there.”

The Vorwerks timed it just right, though. They’re enjoying the mild conditions along with a much smaller group of out-of-towners than you would typically see on the beach during the summer.

On a typical November day, temperatures can drop down into the 40’s here in Hampton Roads.
