VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Police said a driver who was shot with an arrow Sunday was in a fight with a group of people prior to being shot.
The 18-year-old was driving in the 3500 block of Chester Street off South Rosemont Road when he was hit.
Dispatchers received a call about the incident at 8:17 p.m. Medics took the victim to the hospital. He should recover.
Green Run High School head football coach told our partners at The Virginian-Pilot the victim is Lamonte Perry, a senior on the football team.
Officers said Monday they identified people with whom the man fought before he was shot.
Police stated that charges may be filed after further investigation.
