"Closed" signs hang on the gates of Green Flash Brewing Company in Virginia Beach, Va. on March 26, 2018.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Less than a month after Green Flash Brewing Company closed its doors for good in Virginia Beach, another brewery is taking its place.

Our partners at The Virginian Pilot report Atlanta-based New Realm Brewing won a bid for Green Flash's equipment.

San Diego-based Green Flash shut down its local facility last month, just days before shutting the entire company down. The Virginia Beach location had only been in operation for a little more than a year, having its grand opening back in November of 2016.

A former manager said Green Flash's closure put between 25 and 35 people out of work.

Now the Pilot reports New Realm Brewing plans on moving into the taproom off General Booth Boulevard. The $20 million craft brewing facility includes a 58,000-square-foot brewery, a tasting room, a beer garden, and a private event room and garden.
