VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — At the Oceanfront on Saturday, community members gathered to remember the victims killed in the municipal center mass shooting May 31.
Event organizer Eric Majette said this is a "Prayer, Healing, and Unity Vigil."
It's an opportunity to pay tribute to the victims and their families and for the community to come together.

"Healing is a process. Even though you may not hear a lot about it in the months to come – particularly the families of the victims and that were impacted actually impacted by this and those that were actually able to get out of the facility still going to be impacted by this," Majette said.
