OCRACOKE, N.C. (WVEC) -- The Coast Guard airlifted a man who was possibly suffering from a heart attack on Tuesday morning.

Watchstanders were contacted by Ocracoke Health Center, requesting the 67-year-old man be transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital due to inclement weather in the Outer Banks area.

An MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter was dispatched to Ocracoke Island Airport, where it hoisted the man aboard and transported him to Norfolk.
