VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- The woman charged with animal cruelty after animal control officers found a dog starved to death at her home has pleaded guilty to torturing the dog.
Emergency dispatchers originally received a call about a dead dog in the 1800 block of Colonial Arms Cir. earlier this year.
Upon arrival, officers found a female, mixed breed in the apartment that was emaciated.
Officers arrested 21-year-old Hannah Leannpaige Davis and charged her with animal cruelty.
Davis has a sentencing date of Feb. 13.
