NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Police responded to a call about someone firing a BB gun out of a car on Tuesday.

The 50-year-old victim said at the 2800 block of Wickham Ave a white sedan drove past him at 7:10 p.m.

As the vehicle passed, the victim said the sedan slowed down and the rear right passenger started shooting a BB gun at him.

One of the pellets grazed the victims neck, causing a scratch, while another pellet struck his arm not leaving any marks.

Police described the offender as a light skinned black male, slender, and in his early 20's. He was wearing a black shirt and had a pony tail.

Newport News police are still investigating the incident.
