JAMES CITY COUNTY, Va. (WVEC) -- "It's not money, it's a joke."

Police are searching for a man who requested change for a counterfeit $100 bill on May 3.

The James City Country Police were called to McLean's Grocery at 7869 Richmond Road.

The counterfeit bill said "It's not money, it's a joke" printed on the back.

The suspect has a tattoo on his right forearm.

If anyone knows this individual, or if they know who might be responsible for circulating the counterfeit money police are asking to contact investigator Diane Walters at (757) 603-6032.
