PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVEC) -- Aerial mosquito spraying to take place over Craney Island on June 14.
The Norfolk District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Portsmouth will conduct the spraying.
Federal buildings, adjacent city properties and areas in Churchland will be targeted.

In the morning, the contractor will spray liquid mosquito larvicide to target developing mosquitoes.
Later in the evening, adult mosquitoes will be targeted.
Beekeepers in the area are reminded to keep their bees covered, and anyone with known allergies should stay indoors.
