NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- The Mariners' Museum and Park is offering 1 dollar admission this summer.

General admission for adults, seniors, military, and children are all just one dollar now through Labor Day.

With the admission visitors will be able to experience 90,000 square feet of exhibition galleries including the prestigious International Small Craft Center, and the award-winning USS Monitor Center.

The Mariners' Museum Library and Archives is home to over 78,000 books, 800,000 photographs, films and negatives, and over 1 million pieces of archival material.

This is the largest maritime library in the Western Hemisphere.

Special activities in the galleries includes having navigators can show artifacts not on display and answer questions.

Young model makers can build their very own LEGO ship in the Ship Model Gallery.

Throughout the summer, there will even be raffles to win one of two 18 inch dolls from either the Polynesian Voyagers exhibition or Speed and Innovation in the America's Cup.
