NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) --- 13News Now was in Downtown Norfolk Wednesday, asking people about an annual holiday debate.
We wanted to know when it’s too early to put up Christmas decorations.
“Probably the first of December,” said Avery White.
“Probably a week or two after Halloween,” said Nick Lefeber.
“Nope, that’s too early,” added Esther O’Neill.
Whichever camp you’re in, early holiday décor is almost always a big box store staple.
Stores like Target start setting up seasonal holiday displays even before Halloween.
“We rush the holidays,” said Kristina Luna. “And we don’t get to enjoy them.”
And how about home decorations?
Avery White says he’s already seen people putting up Christmas lights on their homes.
“People putting up their Christmas decorations is maybe too early,” said White.
