NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WVEC) -- Kyshona Griffin, 24, was recently detained for her role in an altercation that led to a male victim being stabbed.
Officers responded to the call on Oct. 31 around 3 a.m. in the 5700 block of Surry Avenue.
Upon arrival, police found a victim bleeding from a non-life threatening cut to his left upper arm. He did not tell police what happened.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Further investigation led officers to a witness who said the victim's girlfriend, later identified as Griffin, stabbed him.
Griffin was located walking a block away from the scene.
She is charged with unlawful wounding.
